I Write Like...

I write like
Stephen King

I Write Like by Mémoires, Mac journal software. Analyze your writing!

It's Wednesday, and aren't we all looking for some timewastery, something to help us make it through the workday?

Check this out: I Write Like will analyze a piece of your writing and tell you which famous author's writing yours resembles. I pasted in the opening to my manuscript TIMEFIX, and it told me I write like Stephen King. Ha! Not really, but it's Wednesday. I could use the ego boost.

Fun, huh?

  1. I have submitted several pieces of writing to this site and every one came back that I write like Stephen King. Either we all write like Stephen King or this is a bit narrowly conceived in its comparisons.

  2. I wonder how it works. But I'll take the Stephen King comparison for today :-)

  3. I got Chuck Palahniuk for two things and Edgar Allen Poe for another.

I have a feeling it looks at word choice and sentence structure. That's all I can think that it would be able to do.
