When you try to get work done, but you also have kittens, this happens:

When it comes to editing, I like to print out my manuscript pages and read them on the bed. It's comfy, plus it puts me in reader mode, which is a good thing.

Of course our new residents Chloe and ChuChu love to help me.
Cute, huh?

I thought I'd share to start your week off on the right note. Happy Monday!

  1. Love it. That'll put you in a good mood for editing.

  2. Beyond cute! What is it with cats and paper? Or cats and laptops? If they're not busy shredding the work -- or 'contributing' to it by walking back and forth across the keyboard -- they're sitting on it! My dog lies quietly at my feet while I write. The cats? Another matter altogether. Enjoy your kitties!

  3. Enjoying the kitties, Trish :-) You're right, they also like to walk on the keyboard, or sit on it...

  4. Chloe and ChuChu do look like they're proofing your manuscript. Now you can chuck out the editor! I enjoy watching kittens at play. They're the cutest of animal offsprings aside from the young one of a donkey.

  5. Kittens are so fun :-)

Hope you're doing well, Prashant. Reports on the monsoon in India are worrisome...

  6. Fleur, we had terrible rain-induced floods in North India with the death toll running in the thousands. Even now more than 5,000 people, mostly pilgrims and tourists, are believed missing, either under landslides or washed away. We haven't had this kind of catastrophe in several years. The scale of destruction, I believe, is unprecedented. Mumbai is more than 1,000 miles from the two affected states, so we're relatively safe down here.

April snuck up on me like a thief in the night! I’ve been so busy writing, editing, and coming up with ideas for  Daybreak on Raven Island...
