Good Advice

Sometimes (well, actually very often) someone else says it so much better, and I just say: "what (s)he said."

Like over here, at Patti's.

  1. I am always shocked to find I still pepper everything with adverbs and adjectives. It just feels right in that first draft to say, "she said haltingly."

  2. It's good to be aware of habits like that. I'm a big offender when it comes to shrugging and sniffing--no idea why :-)
