April 2022 News (or: on reading slumps and lots of editing...)
April snuck up on me like a thief in the night! I’ve been so busy writing, editing, and coming up with ideas for Daybreak on Raven Island...

Love it! It's brighter than the first book, but still shows action coming toward us. Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteAnd the story sounds like great fun. Can't wait!
Thanks, Deb! Thankfully, I had nothing to do with it--I'm in awe of the illustrator who did the cover...
ReplyDeleteThey look very fine together. Different but complimentary.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Patti! It was unexpected, this brighter look, but I really like it.
ReplyDeleteA very eye-catching cover, Fleur, and, as Patti says, both covers complement each other. I like the use of contrasting colours. Whoever buys the first book will be prompted to buy the other too.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Prashant! I hope you're right :-)
ReplyDeleteOooh, nice action shot and quite crisp. I like it.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Loren! It's full of action, so it's a good representation.
ReplyDeleteI like that both books have action pictures to tie them together. I actually really like the new cover's lighter look (feels more kid-friendly to me) and its unique visual perspective.
ReplyDeleteIt took me a bit to get used to the brighter look, Jennifer, but I like it now. I also like that it has the girl character (the first daughter) on the cover; Linc has as many boy as girl fans, so I hope it appeals to them too.
