To be honest, I haven't worried much about the popularity of this blog. But I was a little curious, since I've been running YA Sleuth for about four-and-a-half years now. My first post had a grand-total of three visitors, by the way...
Most-visited posts of late? Newsy stuff, like book awards, current events, new books to read. Posts related to the Double Vision books were also popular--thank goodness, because I hope people buy them and all.
Phineas and Ferb. No lie.

Facebook took a chunk from my blog, which used to average 200-300 visitors a day. Now usually under 200 except on Friday.
ReplyDeleteFor me, this blog is mostly a place to chat with friends. I should really have more informative/serious stuff on here, but I can't get myself there.... I prefer to just talk about whatever.

I like Phineas and Ferb, so I'm not surprised. I have to read your post. One of my most popular posts (in Top 5 and I don't know why) is a small piece I did on Bolo Yeung, the snarling baddie of films like "Enter the Dragon" and Jean-Claude van Damme movies, "Bloodsport" and "Double Impact." It was meant to kick-start a series on villains in the movies. It never did. Those were early blogging days.

ReplyDeleteMy most commented upon post featured my dog in a sweater I knit for her! You never know. And I love girly books, which is probably why I specialized in books for boys. I tend to out the girly books on the weekend, and always have suggestions if you need them.

ReplyDeleteI love the reviews you do! I have a big Judy Blume (Double Fudge) fan in the house, who has trouble reading; I'm always on the lookout. I'm not always familiar with the pink-covered books, so it's good to find reviews.
I have to find that dog sweater post now...
