I'm making my holiday wish list. It's not very long, and consists entirely of books (no surprise there, eh?).
Michael Connelly's latest is on there--I don't even know much about this book, but I want it. He's one of a few go-to authors on my list: those writers whose book I buy no matter what.
How about you? Do you have a favorite author like that?

I have more than one favourite go-to author such as Edgar Rice Burroughs, Jack Higgins, P.G. Wodehouse, Agatha Christie, and nearly all westerns. Any one of these would be a go-to author for me. I don't read much of new fiction.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I should revisit some of these old favorites. Agatha Christie, for instance...
ReplyDeleteMargaret Atwood (big surprise), Anne Tyler and Neil Gaiman.
ReplyDeleteSpecifically mystery/crime authors: Kate Carlisle, Jeff Lindsay, Maggie Sefton, Lisa Lutz and I'm adding Gillian Flynn after reading "Gone Girl."
Love Wodehouse and Christie, too.
I've not yet read GONE GIRL--must check it out, finally. It's about time I branch out a little. Poor Michael Connelly can only write so fast :-)
